The guides went far out of their way. We met them downtown looking for a cab. (It was a cruise day so all the cabs we out giving tours) One of their guides went out of their way to drive us to the airport for our sea plane adventure. They were very helpful.

Fabulous Theresa picked us up at the airport , gave us a quick town tour and gave us the BEST advice on where to eat , shop ,visit and who to do a fishing charter with ! Highly recommend any tour or activity with this friendly local . Thanks Theresa you really made our Sitka visit very special !

We visited Sitka on August 7, 2019 aboard the Holland-Ameca ship Eurodam. We had booked a highlights tour with Sitka Tours through HAL. My wife is in a power wheelchair, so we were booked in an accessible vehicle. Our driver and guide was Christie, who is tremendous! She was attentive to my wife's needs, and careful to get her aboard and off Van #22 with ease and safety. Christie is knowledgeable and witty, and showed us Sitka as visitors should see the area. We were lucky enough to see pink salmon spawning in Indian River. The icons in the Russian St. Michael's Cathedral are magnificent. The history, geography and biological environment of Sitka are treasures. Thanks to Christie and Sitka Tours, we have memories to savor!

We arrived in May of 23 on a cruise ship and did not have a planned excursion. Jim took us to Fortress of the Bears. He took very good care of my son and I. My son has Down syndrome and it is not always easy for us to get around. Jim is a para for special needs students during the school year. My son loved the bears and I highly recommend Sitka Tours for your transportation needs.

The bus took us from the alaska marine highway terminal and drove us downtown. The driver gave a nice ten minute history of sitka as he drove! He then took us all back to the AMH terminal completing the local history! The best part of his talk was his story about the Alaska state flag, the child who designed it , the background of his design and then the poem and song resulting from this little boy’s flag design!! The absolute best part, was he sang beautifully, the state song about this flag design! He finished perfectly as we drove in the parking lot for the ferry terminal! Wonderful experience!!!

My husband and I used Sitka Tours July 2024 and had an incredible day. The tour was truly one of the best days of our trip to Alaska. We flew into Sitka the night before and the airline lost our luggage. Since we didn't have any raingear, our guide made sure we had unbrellas to use when she picked us up at our hotel. Next stop was to pick up a family of 4 with 2 young children. Our guide was so welcoming and made everyone feel like friends. We were never rushed through any of our stops. There was always time for one more photo and we never left an area until everyone was finished. Bears, raptors, fish hatchery, waterfront area. She made sure that the children in the group had time to examine all of the sea life in the touch pool. When driving between attractions she entertained us with stories of day to day life in Sitka and how she and her family came to live in Alaska. The entire day seemed to be personalized to each member of the tour even though we spaned various ages. Would 100% take a tour with them again

A great 3.5 hour tour of Sitka this afternoon with Brian, our guide and driver. Brian was born and raised in Sitka and shared amazing stories of history, culture and little known facts about Sitka. We had a stop at Fortress of the Bear, Raptor Center and the Totem Pole forest (all included for price). We booked in downtown Sitka as we took the bus in from the cruise ship. Great price compared to cruise excursion and back with time to spare and shop. Would highly recommend if you are in Sitka and would ask to be on Brian’s tour group!!!!

We had a great tour today with Sitka Tours. Our tour guy Carlos was GREAT!!! We booked a 3.5hrs tour and he was an amazing tour guide. He even dropped us off at the ship instead of downtown. Thanks for a great tour of your town.
